[ A scene starts at the edge with people gathered around the plaza. Yazoo and Loz are in front of it with the Children from the Forgotten City. ]
Man: What do you think you're doing?!
Another man: Give us back our children!
Another Man!!: How do you sickos justify this?!
Woman: Give me back my baby!
Another Man!!!!: Look at me when I'm talking to you!
[ Yazoo sighs he then raises his hand and everyone goes silent. A monster shoots up from the ground afterwards and starts attacking the people. Tifa appears shortly after many monsters have formed and starts looking around at the commotion. She spots Denzel and runs towards him ]
Tifa: Denzel! [ places hands on his shoulders ] Denzel! Denzel! [ He raises his head and she gets a look at his eyes then gasps ]
[ It then moves over to the other side, there Yazoo and Loz are tugging on some chains ]
Reno: And what are we up to?
[ Reno and Rude step up in front of them ]
Yazoo: We know Mother is here.
Rude: Oh yeah?
Loz: Yeah! This.. here... thing, Monument thing. Shinra made it.
Reno: [ Points to head ] On no, you're just too clever!
Rude: ... Except, you're wrong.
Reno: Wherever she is, we just don't know.
[ Reno and Rude start chuckling ]
Yazoo: What? The peons aren't trusted?
[ Reno gets a bit frustrated by the statement and gets angry. He then pulls out his weapon and runs forward ]
[ Scene shifts to Rufus and Kadaj ]
Rufus: Say, Kadaj, I've got a question for you.
Kadaj: I've got an answer.
Rufus: You said you needed Jenvoa cells in order to be whole again. What did you mean by that? Him! He's coming back.
Rufus: Sephiroth... The nightmare.
Kadaj: So they say.
Rufus: You mean...?
Kadaj: I've never known Sephiroth. I just... I sense him there. It's unbearable to think that Mother might want Sephiroth more than...
Rufus: Poor little Remnant...
Kadaj: It doesn't matter who she picks, we'll all meet the same end! Mother came to this planet after a long journey, to rid the cosmos of fools like you! You know as well as I do, nothing's changed since she got here. I have to change it, to make her happy. If Mother willed it, I would do anything.
Rufus: The nightmare returns.
Kadaj: As long as you exist, the nightmares will come again and again.
Rufus: The Lifestream corses through our planet, back and forth across the borders of life and death. If that cycle is the very truth of life, then history, too, will inevitably repeat itself. So, go on. Bring your Jevona's and your Sephiroth's... It won't matter. We'll do as life dictates and stop you every single time.
Kadaj: Please, Sir. Is that your excuse for going after Mother yourself? You don't seem all that sorry.
Rufus: Sorry? Why, I've never had this much fun.
Kadaj: Good. Then let's put an end to all this.
[ Kadaj raises his hand where the materia was absorbed in his arm and summons a monster. The people run around and watch it come down from the skies, then it starts attacking the city. The scene then goes back to Tifa and Denzel ]
Tifa: Denzel, we've got to get away.
[ A monster appears behind them and looks like it is going to attack. Tifa rushes forward to go attack it, but the Bahamut-type summon steps on the said monster and appears before them instead. Tifa embraces Denzel as the monster looks around, at them, and then flies up on the monument. Rufus and Reno rush forward, and Reno gets surprised, waving his weapon and hitting Rude in the head. Rude then falls over ]
Reno: Oh, boy! He..he!
[ The monster starts breaking some of the chains then looks at Reno and Rude ]
Reno: ... Hello!
Rude: Oh no...
[ Reno and Rude start running. Yazoo and Loz begin to follow them. Reno picks up a child on the way that shoves her fingers up his nose. As they all run, Bahamut gets ready to attack ]
Reno: Is it after us?
Rude: I'm not lookin'.
[ Bahamut destroys the monument and Reno, Rude, Loz, and Yazoo go flying. The scene then shows Reno and Rude laying on the ground ]
Yazoo: Are we having fun yet, huh?
Reno: The time of my... life!!! [ Jumps up and starts attacking Yazoo ]
[ The two start fighting ]
Reno: When are you gonna call it a day?!
Yazoo: What? Just as soon as you give back Mother. That'll be the end of everything.
[ Reno frowns and starts climbing up the building that Yazoo had jumped up onto. They then start to fight again. It then goes to Loz and Rude fighting, too. Rude gets thrown as Reno continues to fight. ]
Reno: Forget your little reunion and get a grip!!
Yazoo: All we want is to be with Mother! [ Kicks Reno ]
Loz: Mother will know. When she gets here, she'll decide what's best. Now, where's Mother?
[ A sign that says 'Loveless' falls and hits Rude in that head ]
Rude: ... Damn sign...
[ Reno falls ontop of Rude and Rude's sunglasses fall off. Reno gets up and steps on them, and Rude looks pretty unhappy. ]
Reno: It's Jenova's freakin' head.
Loz: Hey!
Yazoo: I will not have you refer to Mother that way.
Loz: You meanie!
[ Rude pulls another pair of sunglasses out and puts them on while Reno brushes himself off. ]
Rude: Our apologies.
Reno: Your mom's cool. .... What the hell am I sayin'?!
[ Reno Rushes after Yazoo and Loz, with Rude behind him. They punch them and stuff, Reno gives Rude a 'thumbs up' but then Yazoo and Loz attack them. The scene shifts after some fighting back to the main area of the town. Shows Tifa laying on the ground above Denzel, protecting him. Denzel wakes up and snaps out of it. ]
Denzel: Tifa?
[ Gets angry and runs after the summon ]
Denzel Son of a bitch!
[ Tifa wakes up and notices before it's too late, but before Denzel can get near the summon, Barret appears out of nowhere and starts attacking it with his gunarm. ]
Barret: You look after Marlene.
Tifa: Barret!
Barret: Marlene better be safe, huh?
[ Barrets runs after the monster and Red XIII and Cait Sith appear. Red XIII jumps up on the summon ]
Cait Sith: We can't handle thissss!
[ They continue attacking then fall off the summon, then Yuffie's weapon appears as well. She jumps down and appears. ]
Yuffie: Alright, who's been touching my materia?!
Tifa: The bad guys. Naturally.
Yuffie: Ohhhhhhh! UGH! [ Runs after the summon ]
Denzel: Who's that?!
[ Tifa just looks at Denzel and smiles. Another set of monsters jumps up to attack Tifa and Denzel, but Cid Highwind appears and gets in their way. ]
Cid: She's a beauty. [ Gestures up to airship ] My Sierra. Latest modle. I'll give ya the grand tour afterwards!! [ Waves and runs off, too ]
Vincent: Where can I buy a phone?
Denzel: Who's heeee?
Tifa: They're our friends.
[ Cloud drives up on his motorcycle ]
Cloud: Marlene is safe, I took her to the store. ... I feel lighter.
Tifa: ...hm?
Cloud: Maybe I lost some weight. All that dilly dally.
[ Tifa smiles ]
Denzel: I'm gonna go back to see Marlene, okay, Cloud? We'll wait for you. We'll see you there, won't we, Cloud?
[ Cloud nods and Denzel runs off. Tifa then gets on Cloud's Motorcycle and they drive off towards the rest of the gang. It then shows scenes of them all fighting the summon. Cloud then shows up with them. ]
Barret: They hell you've been?
[ Cloud then goes to attack the summon himself. It eventually rises up in the air, ready to shoot down a large beam at the town. Scene then shifts back to Kadaj and Rufus ]
Kadaj: This is too fun, Sir! Any requests for the next act?
[ Rufus gets up and takes off his sheet, revealing a box with Jenova ]
Kadaj: Mother!
Rufus: A good son who have known.
[ Rufus then throws the box off the side of the building. Kadaj gets angry and shoots a beam from his hand at Rufus. The scene then, once again, shifts back to Cloud and the gang. Cloud then jumps up and his friends help him make it up to the summon monster high in the sky. At the end, near a big round beam of energy, Aeris extends her hand and helps Cloud up the rest of the way. ]
Aeris: Ready?
[ Cloud then uses a limit break and defeats the summon. He jumps back down on a ledge, then sees an explosion. The scene then shifts back to Kadaj and Rufus. Kadaj finishes his attack and Rufus falls off the edge, dodging it. He pulls out his gun and starts to shoot at Kadaj. ]
Kadaj: Mother!!!
[ Kadaj also then jumps off the side, after Rufus and the box. Rufus then positions his gun to start shooting at the box. Reno and Rude are down belong the building. ]
Reno & Rude: Sir, no!
[ Shows Cloud riding near the building on his motorcycle. Rufus hits the box and makes a hole in it, with some of the Jenova Cells flying out. Kadaj eventually reaches the box and grabs it. Tseng and Elena also appear and shoot a net out in order to catch Rufus. Kadaj lands and looks at the box, but he doesn't have much time since Cloud is rushing forward. Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz then get on their motorcycles and drive on off on the highway. Cloud chases them. When they get on the highway, they all start fighting.
Kadaj then goes one way above a tunnel, and Cloud, Loz, and Yazoo go in a tunnel and start fighting some more in there. After a bit of fighting, the scene then moves over to Reno and Rude at the end of another tunnel. Reno has a bomb in his hand. ]
Reno: Hey, partner. This thing, uh, got any bite to it?
Rude: Shinra technology at its finest.
Reno: Oh, so you made this.
Rude: If nothing else... it's flashy.
Reno: Oh, good.
Rude: You love it. I know it.
Reno: Looks like today we're clocking out early.
[ Shows Cloud zooming past Reno and Rude then they set the bomb. Yazoo and Loz go through and end up getting injured in the bomb. Cloud then meets up with Kadaj on the highway. They fight a bit then come to the end of the highway and go down into the slums. Cloud stops a bit down there and adjusts his weapons and such. He also tears off the cloth on his arm, revealing his Geostigma. Kadaj drives into the church and looks at the box. ]
Kadaj: Mother! [ Clutches the box and cries out ] MOTHERRRR!! [ screams ]
[ Cloud drives into the church. Kadaj drives in the other direction and Cloud chases him. Cloud then swerves and his motorcycle goes into the bed of flowers. Cloud looks up and Kadaj throws a spell at Cloud, knocking him off his motorcycle. Cloud clutches his arm and gets ready to attack, but Lifestream starts gushing out of the ground and starts raining upon the area of the church, healing Cloud. Kadaj doesn't like it a bit and drives on off.
