In the Sanubia Desert after obtaining the airship, there will be a small sidequest open that will allow you to obtain the Mercury Sigil required to unlock Riku's ultimate weapon, GODHAND. In the desert, you should notice a rather large rock with pictures of cactuars on them. The rock will give a small clue to allow you to find where the cactuar is hidden in the desert. Once you find the cactuar you'll play a short game of red light green light. If you win, you'll recieve a named sphere, however, if you loose three times, you'll only get the Sphere del Perdedor. It really doesn't matter what sphere you get, however, if you get a certain number of named spheres, you'll also get extra items.
After obtaining nine spheres into the cactuar rock, the sandstorm will stop and you'll be able to head down into the Cactuar village. Somhere should be a few treasure chests. One of them will contain the Mercury Sigil.
The Cactuar Locations
Oasis
This one will be right by the save point.
Sanubia Desert - East
It'll be in an Alcove North of the tent with the save sphere.
Sanubia Desert - West
Near a sign that has "20% off" printed on it.
Sanubia Desert - Central
You should see two cactuars running around near some ruins in the west.
Sanubia Desert - East
It'll be under the tent near the save point.
Sanubia Desert - Centra
It'll be inside a trasure chest to the west.
Sanubia Desert - West
This cactuar will be located in one of the various whirlpools about the area.
Oasis
Go back to the airship and then head to the outside deck. It should be roaming about there.
Sanubia Desert
Go back to the Cactuar Statue and it will appear.
