Final Fantasy XII's prologue may look rather familiar to players who have played Final Fantasy Tactics. The prologue does start off the same way as the story on the title screen of the PSX classic does.

That is the story of a world called Ivalice.
The strong military kingdom known as the Arcadia Empire

Have been continuously at war for long years.
In the midst of it, Arcadia Empire invaded the small kingdom of Dalmasca,

But Ashe, the rightful heir to the trone of Dalmasca,
