The weapons in Final Fantasy VII are the ultimate monsters and probably are only tackled by people who are really interested in completing everything in the game! They ARE a challenge so try to fight them at your own risk. Below is a small bit of strategy that might help out.

Ultimate weapon is a large flying monster that will be flying all over the place. The first time it should be near Junon. Fly near it and start fighting it. Fighting it is as you were fighting other monsters. After a bit it will fly off again. Follow it and as soon as it stops enter combat and fight it again.
Afterwards, it should land near Cosmo Canyon. Defeat it once and for all there. It will take out a large part of the earth around it allowing you to head into a new area! Anceint forest. You will also receive Cloud's Ultimate Weapon! |
| Emerald Weapon |
You will need a few things for this battle: Underwater Materia, Final Attack, Pheonix, Knights of the Round, and Mime.
A suggestion is not going into a battle with to many things equiped in the materia slots. If you go into the battle as full as you can be, you will surly die. Emeralds best attack does 1,000 Multiplied by X, where X is the number of Materia the character has equpied onto them. But Note, Have Final Attack and Pheonix Linked together! Or you will be screwed.
Now that you know that, this is the stratagy in killing it. It's mostly constant of doing things, but you need to heal constantly and then summon Knights of the Round. After you do that, have your other characters use Mime, and they will summon Knights of the Round as well. The reason for having the Underwater Materia is so that you can breathe underwater, so there is no time limit in fighting Emerald. And then the reason for having Final Attack and Pheonix linked, is if the character holding Final Attack and Pheonix, and they die, then they will use a Final Move of Pheonix. Now imagin if all of your characters are dead, and the person with this combo dies. All of your party will be brought back to life from Pheonix. Then just keep repeating the process of doing damage to him until he dies.

What you will need in this battle is: Knights of the Round, Mime, Final Attack, Pheonix,
Hades, and anything else that you feel the need to use.
Before you beggin the battle with the Ruby Weapon, run around the place on the world map and get into a battle. Then, once in the
battle, kill 2 of your characters. Then when 2 of your 3 characters are dead, retreat the battle. Now, before you go into the Ruby
battle, MAKE SURE that the 1 person that is still alive in your party has Hade's, and Final Attack and Pheonix Linked.
Now it is time to enter into the battle with Ruby Weapon. But First...
What Would Happen if You Didn't Kill 2 of Your Party::.
If you didn't kill 2 members of your party like I told you, then Ruby Weapon is going to use Whirl Sand on 2 of your characters, and then dig
his claws into the ground, and then you will only be able to use 1 character the whole fight! Good luck ;)
What Would Happen if You Did Kill 2 of Your Party::.
If you listened to me, and killed off 2 of your party members before going into battle, then good job. Ruby Weapon will not Whirl Sand
your characters, because only 1 is left alive. So, you've entered the battle... DO NOT ATTACK RUBY YET! If you attack Ruby Weapon, you
will only do 1 damage per hit. Wait until Ruby Burries his claws into the ground.
The Next part in the fight is what a lot of people, oddly, don't know about. Now, if you have equiped Hades, then you will be fine.
Once Ruby Weapons claws are dug into the ground, IMMEDIATLY cast Hades on his claws. They will then be paralized, and they wont be
able to hurt you. Once after that, revive both of your other characters. Now, there are 2 ways to kill Ruby. 1 is to use Knights of
the Round and mime, and have to deal with Ultima being casted on you, or you could use regular attacks for hours. Depends
on how strong you are in your attributes, so you have to find that out.

Kalm Traveler
At the top floor of the bulding fartherst right in Kalm, will be a man who is content with the world.
You will need one extra item. The guide book. This is in the underwater reactor. You will need to morph a ghost ship monstr to get it. Afterwards take it back and he will give you the underwater materia.
When you defeat the weapons you can go back and get stuff for it. Master summon, Master Magic, and Master command Materia. You will also get a gold chocobo.
